Safety Precautions​

Q :  Can I use regular tap water in the steam generator?​​
A :  Use a 50% tap water + 50% deionized/distilled/demineralized water mix. 
      Never exceed 50% mineral-free water, and avoid scented, ironing, or sugary water. 
      Using improper water damages the machine and voids the warranty.

Q :  What if the steam generator tips over?​​
A : ​ Immediately unplug it and check for damage. 
      Do not use if damaged, leaking, or showing visible wear.

Q :  Is the steam generator safe for children?​​
A :  Children 8+ may use it under adult supervision. 
      Keep cords and the steam generator out of reach of children under 8. 
      Never let children handle hot tools unsupervised.

Q :  Can I leave the steam generator unattended?​​
A :  No. Always unplug it after use and avoid leaving it connected to power during refills or maintenance.

Q :  What if the power cord is damaged?​​
A :  Replace it immediately with an authorized Morphy Richards technician. 
      Damaged cords pose fire/electrocution risks.

Usage Guidelines​

Q :  How do I fill the water tank?​​
A :  Remove the detachable tank via the handle. Fill the water but not over MAX line. 
      Never fill the dirty water chamber.

Q :  Why isn’t steam coming out?​​
A :  Check:
      Water level (refill if low).
      Auto-shutoff (press power button for 3s to restart).
      Temperature setting (ensure it’s not on MIN).

Q :  How to use vertical steam for curtains?​​
A :  Hold the iron 1–2cm away from fabric. Press the steam trigger twice quickly. Never use on people.

Q :  What’s the "steam boost" function?​​
A :  Press the steam trigger twice rapidly for intense steam (ideal for jeans/linen). 
      Turn it off when not needed to save water.

Q : How do I clean the soleplate?​​
A : For coated plates:
     Set iron to MAX and glide over a clean cotton cloth to remove residue.
     Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Maintenance & Care​

Q :  How often should I descale the machine?​​
A :  Run the auto-clean cycle every 5L of water used. The descale indicator (light 20) will blink when needed.

​Q :  What if the auto-clean doesn’t start?​​
A :  Ensure the machine is completely cooled, the clean water tank is full, and the filter is clean. Retry after 24 hours.

​Q :  How to empty dirty water?​​
A :  After cleaning, remove the tank and pour dirty water through hole. Handle with care—it’s hot!​

​Q :  My steam generator won’t turn on.​​
A :  Check:
       Fuse/replacement.
       Power outlet.
       Auto-shutoff (press power button for 3s).
       Temperature dial (not set to MIN).

​Q :  Does the warranty cover accidental drops?​​
A :  No. The 2-year warranty excludes damage from misuse, drops, improper repairs, or commercial use. Always register your product with proof of purchase.

A :  2 years  from purchase (registered with proof of purchase). Domestic use only.

Q :  What’s excluded from warranty?​​
A :  Damage from:
     Drops/physical abuse.
     Limescale buildup.
     Unauthorized repairs.
     Commercial/hire use.
