Q :  What safety precautions should I follow when using the toaster?

A： 1，Always unplug the toaster when not in use or before cleaning.

       2，Do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water.

       3，Keep the toaster away from flammable materials (e.g., curtains).

       4，Never leave the toaster unattended during operation.

       5，Do not attempt to remove jammed bread without unplugging first.

Q :  Why does the toaster emit an odor during first use?
A： This is normal due to residual manufacturing oils. Run the toaster without bread on the highest setting, let it cool, and the odor will disappear after a few uses.

Q :  How do I adjust the toasting color?
A： Turn the Color Control Rod  to one of the 7 settings (lightest “1” to darkest “7”).  Note: Toasting color may vary slightly between cycles.

Q :  How do I use the Defrost and Reheat functions?

A:  Defrost: Insert frozen bread, press the handle down, then press the Defrost Button.

 Reheat: Insert toasted bread, press the handle down, then press the Reheat Button. Under this mode, the toasting time is fixed.

Q :  Why won’t the carriage handle stay down?

A :  The handle can only latch when the toaster is plugged in. Ensure the power cord is securely connected.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Q : How do I clean the toaster?

A：Unplug and let the toaster cool completely.

      Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.

      Pull out the Removable Crumb Tray and empty it.

Q :  Can I wash the crumb tray?
A： No. Only wipe it with a dry cloth. Do not use water or abrasive cleaners.

Troubleshooting

Q :  The toaster is smoking. What should I do?
A： Press the Cancel Button immediately. Clean the crumb tray and ensure no food debris is stuck inside. Avoid toasting buttery or sugary foods.

Q :  What if the power cord is damaged?
A：Do not use the toaster. Contact Morphy Richards or a qualified technician for replacement.

Q :  Why is my toast unevenly colored?
A： Wait at least 30 seconds between toasting cycles to let the color control reset. Ensure bread slices are uniform in thickness.

Q : What is the warranty period?
A : The toaster comes with a 2 year guarantee. Proof of purchase is required.                                                    Exclusions include accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorized repairs.
